Aim of research:

Aims of the project: definition of strategy of logistics centres development in St Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast and elaboration of concept of Regional Distributional council for the region using the best international practice of Holland International Distribution Council. 
    
Methods and substance of research:

In the framework of the project with the participation of the experts of ICSER Leontief Centre jointly with ECORYS-NEI Ltd and Region-Expo Ltd it was organized 2 seminars:

1. Stakeholders’ of the project «Strategic Analysis of Logistics Centres organization and the Principles of Regional Distributional Council Creation» seminar, main task of which is presentation of aims of the project and discussion of possibilities of private-public partnership in the project. The representatives of St Petersburg, Leningrad Oblast and Netherlands, experts of the project, managers and employees of foreign and home companies took part in the seminar;
2. the final seminar of «Transport in North-West of Russia. Strategic Analysis of Logistics Centres organization and the Principles of Regional Distributional Council Creation» project. On the seminar the results of the project were presented, three parallel sessions were held: «Transport, Cargo, Dispatch, Warehousing and Distribution, Coastal Transportation», «Development of Terminals and Logistics Centres», «Increasing the level of Knowledge / Transfer of technologies and creation of Regional Distributive Council ».
