X Award Ceremony named after Boris Ovsievich, Professor
On June 8, 2015 X Award Ceremony named after Boris Ovsievich, Professor was held in House of Scientists named after Maksim Gorky (St. Petersburg).
The Award Ceremony named after Boris Ovsievich was established under St. Petersburg Economics and Mathematics Institute RAS in 2005 to support talented young Russian researchers for fundamental economic and mathematical researches undertaken in Russia on the following areas: theoretical economics (macro- and microeconomics); game theory and operations research; mathematical methods for the analysis of economic processes; optimization theory. The award Council includes the scientists of St. Petersburg Scientific Center RAS, St. Petersburg Economics and Mathematics Institute RAS, European University at St. Petersburg and ICSER Leontief Centre. In accordance with the Regulation on the award participants can’t be 40 years and older and must have publications in leading refereed domestic and (or) foreign journals. Examination of work is carried out by scientists working in the same specific area as the participant. The contest results are summed by the Council. In summing up the results of the contest the Council shall decide on the winners of the contest, including the amount of the award. The winners get also an Honorary Diploma. The award has been given to 37 young scientists from 2005 till 2013. II Degree Award - Ekaterina Palamarchuk, (St. Petersburg Economics and Mathematics Institute RAS, Moscow), for the work "Research Methods and Optimality Criteria of Economic Systems with Long-Term Planning under Uncertainty";
Incentive Award - Alexander Arutyunov, (Institute of Problem Management named after V.A. Trapeznikov RAS, Moscow) for his work "The Research of Interbranch Flows (in case of FPK and AIC) to study Structural Changes of Russian Macroeconomic System using the Methods of Discrete-Statistical Analysis and Simulative-Optimal Models".
