2018-06-18 :: The Organizing Committee of the III All-Russian Strategic Development Forum "Cities of Russia 2030: Digital Future" Put Forward a New Category for the V Municipal Strategies Contest

The Organizing Committee of the III All-Russian Strategic Development Forum "Cities of Russia 2030: Digital Future" put forward a new category for the V Municipal Strategies Contest – "Smart Strategy - Smart City".

This category pays attention to a degree which "smart city" aspects (intellectualization of urban economy, creation and development of a single urban management system based on energy-saving and energy-efficient technologies, use of ICT to transform manufacturing processes, use of other new technologies)  incorporate into the main structural elements of a strategy. Evaluation criteria include comprehensiveness, availability of innovative projects, smart significance, alignment of strategic development, feasibility, information support for a strategy on the Internet, and others. 

The category is open to municipalities with a population up to 300 thousand people, which have adopted/updated the strategy for socio-economic development during the period from June 28, 2014 to August 1, 2018.

The V Municipal Strategies Contest (MSC-2018) is running within the Annual Strategic Planning Leaders Forum of the Regions and Cities of Russia: Stakeholders of Change (Strategic Planning Leaders Forum).

The onsite semifinals of the main category and finals of the private categories will be held on September 25, 2018 in Moscow in the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation.

The finals and MSC-2018 Awards Ceremony will take place in St. Petersburg during the Strategic Planning Leaders Forum on October 22, 2018.
