2017-06-20 :: Leonid Limonov Took Part in the Round Table "Urban Policy: Public Spaces as a New Resource of Development"

On June 20, Director-Coordinator for Research Programmes Leonid Limonov took part in the round table "Urban Policy: Public Spaces as a New Resource of Development" (St. Petersburg, Azimut Hotel), organized by business analytic magazine "Expert North-West ". The round table aimed at discussing the use of urban spaces, changes in people’s lifestyle, production and consumption patterns, urban policy issues, sustainable development, attraction and use of human capital. The key task of city leaders and society – is to unite the sustainable development issues (using research, cultural and human potential) in order to increase equality, well-being and overall economic wealth. Public spaces are becoming one of the key indicators of socio-economic growth and prosperity of modern cities. The discussion included representatives of public authorities, research and design organizations, leading cultural institutions (State Hermitage Museum, Russian Museum, and Tsarskoye Selo State Museum-Preserve), real estate development and consulting companies, sponsors and curators of festivals and other cultural events. 

According to results of the round table, the magazine "Expert North-West" is planning to publish analysis findings in one of the issues.
