On March 10-11, 2011 in St. Petersburg (Smolny) the regular meeting of the Committee on Spatial Planning and Development in the Baltic Sea Region of VASAB Programme. The meeting was attended by Irina Karelina, Director General of Leontief Centre and member of VASAB and Elena Belova, Secretary General, Head of Development Department of Leontief Centre. 

 

The Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg supported the meeting conduction.

 

At the meeting were discussed:

• Results of joint VASAB – HELCOM activities on maritime spatial planning

• VASAB Action Plan 2011: Promoting urban networking and urban-rural cooperation; Improving internal and external accessibility.

 

The proposal of Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg to hold in Petersburg annual joint roundtable on spatial planning and development in the Baltic Sea Region of VASAB Programme and Leontief Centre with the support of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg was supported.
