2025-11-07 :: Discussion "Strategies for the Development of St. Petersburg: A Retrospective and a Look to the Future"

On November 2, B.S. Zhikharevich, Director of the Resource Center for Strategic Planning at the Leontief Center, took part in the discussion "Strategies for the Development of St. Petersburg: A Retrospective and a Look to the Future," held as part of the Architecton festival. Participants in the discussion included V.N. Knyaginin, Vice Governor of St. Petersburg; V.A. Grigoriev, President of the St. Petersburg Union of Architects and Chief Architect of St. Petersburg from 2015 to 2021; A.V. Finogenov, Deputy General Director and Director of Urban Development at DOM.RF; and others.

B.S. Zhikharevich recalled the experience of the Leontief Center in developing the first Strategic Plan for St. Petersburg (1996-1997) and took an active part in the discussion of the city’s development prospects, pointing out economic and demographic limitations.
