2023-03-21 :: Climate adaptation and low-carbon development of the economy in Russia and the world

On March 16, employees of the Leontief Center - Academic Secretary, Head of the Development Department E.G. Belova and project manager for sustainable development and Internet technologies O.A. Yakimenko - took part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Climate Adaptation and Low-Carbon Development of the Economy in Russia and the World: Practice, Challenges, Prospects", which was held at the Russian University of Economics named after G.V. Plekhanov (Moscow).

 

The organizers of the conference are the Research Institute "Low-Carbon Economy" NMC Higher School of Economics and Technology of the Russian University of Economics named after G.V. Plekhanov, All-Russian Society for the Conservation of Nature, Ministry of Ecology and Sustainable Development of the Sakhalin Region, Yu.A. Israel”, Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) named after I.M. Gubkina, Financial and Business Association for Eurasian Cooperation, Green Building Council in Russia.

 

Representatives of the scientific, expert and business communities discussed the priority areas of industrial policy for the greening of industry, the Sakhalin experiment, successful experience and ongoing practices of low-carbon development of Russian companies, prospects for the development of relations between the BRICS countries in terms of the implementation of climate projects, as well as global challenges of the climate agenda, the discussion of which will also be held as part of the XXI All-Russian Forum "Strategic Planning in the Regions and Cities of Russia".
