On September 29, Krasnodar hosted the business forum “Strategy for the South: Sustainability or Growth?”. The organizer of the event is the Analytical Center "Expert Yug".

Managing Director of the LC-AV Consortium A.B. Krylovsky took part in the plenary session, where the issues of adjusting the region’s strategy, determining the growth points of the regional economy at a new stage, and designing the sustainable development of southern cities were discussed. Alexey Krylovsky noted that the Southern Federal District and the North Caucasus Federal District can be considered as areas of accelerated development. The most competitive regions of the South, according to the LC-AV study, are the Krasnodar Territory and the Rostov Region, and the most competitive direction is food production.

The meeting was moderated by Vladimir Kozlov, General Director of the Expert Yug Analytical Center. Among the participants in the discussion were Alexey Yurtaev, Minister of Economy of the Krasnodar Territory, Vasily Vysokov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CB Center-Invest, Maxim Pryadilnikov, Deputy Head of the ANO Analytical Center for the Government of the Russian Federation, Alexander Puzanov, General Director of the Institute for Urban Economics " and etc.

Within the framework of the forum, in addition to the plenary session, two discussion sessions were held: “Southern industry: how to use the possibilities of import substitution?” and "Agro-industrial complex and the food industry as a point of growth."
