On July 29, in the Trans-Baikal Territory, the head of projects on sustainable development and Internet technologies of the Leontief Center O.A. Yakimenko together with the deputy governor of the region P.G. Popov solemnly presented the Green Mobility Award-2022 to the sculptor, Honored Artist of Russia Dashi Namdakov in the Investment in the Future nomination for the preservation of the cultural and natural heritage of Transbaikalia. According to the project of Dasha Namdakov, the first Tuzhi land art park in Transbaikalia was created in 2021. The creation of the park is aimed at preserving a place that is unique in terms of aesthetics, creating a cultural platform for the exchange of experience of cultural initiatives, building sports facilities for the development of national sports, and organizing recreational activities, including for professional athletes.

 

The award ceremony took place at the Far East Creative Forum "Cultural Heritage and Economics of Creative Industries: Open Dialogue". The forum is organized by the Government of the Trans-Baikal Territory, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Trans-Baikal Territory with the support of the Regional Development Fund.

 

The international Green Mobility Award was established in 2017 and is awarded annually to cities, government officials and experts who implement innovative projects and sustainable development strategies aimed at improving the quality of life and people’s health; reduction of emissions of greenhouse gases and pollutants into the atmosphere; creation of comfortable, accessible, attractive and green public spaces; development of sustainable tourism; strengthening cooperation to achieve sustainable development goals.
