2021-07-09 :: Trainees at Leontief Center

In January-June, 82 students from the Higher School of Economics - St. Petersburg (bachelor’s and master’s degrees), St. Petersburg State University (bachelor’s and master’s degrees), and St. Petersburg State University of Economics (bachelor’s degree) undertook internships at the Leontief Center.

During the internship, students took part in current projects of the Leontief Center:

• research project "Strategy of spatial development of Russia: are there any alternatives", where they studied expert opinions on the Strategy of spatial development of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2025;
• The VII Municipal Strategy Contest 2021 “The Best Strategy Being Implemented in the Arctic”, for which the database of strategic planning documents for municipalities located in the Arctic zone of Russia was updated, and a number of strategies were analyzed to assess the consideration of the Arctic specifics in them.

Students took part in the preparation of a bilingual collection of the best international cases of participatory budgeting and citizen participation in the formation of city budgets and projects, as well as in the preparation of a review of the best international practices and criteria for integrating sustainable development into the agro-industrial complex.
