2011-05-31 :: Working visit to Uzbekistan

On May 22 – 31, 2011 Nikolay Zhunda, Senior Researcher of Leontief Centre, took part in the working visit to Uzbekistan in the framework of cooperation agreement with the Institute of Forecasting and Macroeconomic Research under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan (IAMR).

During his visit to Tashkent, a series of consultations for IAMR specialists involved in this project to develop a strategy for socio-economic development for the Andijan Region, as well as a two-day training seminar aimed at improving the skills of strategic planning, were held. On May 30, 2011 in Andijan a round table was held, on which representatives of local authorities, summed up the first phase of the Strategy. The visit was made in the framework of a UNDP project development in Uzbekistan, with financial support of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).
