2020-02-28 :: Rimma Voronkova Attended the 13th National Urban Planners’ Guild Session “Territorial Development of the Russian North” and the 11th Urban Planning School “Urban Planning: New Directions” (Murmansk)

On February 27-28, Murmansk hosted the annual 13th National Urban Planners’ Guild Session “Territorial Development of the Russian North” and the 11th Urban Planning School “Urban Planning: New Directions”, organized with the support of the Murmansk Region Government and the Murmansk City Administration.

The events were attended by the Leontief Centre’s Researcher Rimma Voronkova, who made the presentations entitled “Russia’s Northern Regions: Long-Term Spatial Transformation” and “Strategic Issues in Urban and Territorial Planning”. In her presentations, Rimma Voronkova focused on the challenges of linking strategic and territorial planning, and on improving the settlement system and urban policies in the Russia’s northern regions.
