2018-11-23 :: Olga Iakimenko Participated in the Transport Week (Moscow)

On November 20-22, Olga Iakimenko, Development Coordinator of Green Mobility Partnership Initiative, participated as an expert in the round table of NTI Avtonet “The Future of Electric Cars in Russia: Challenges and Opportunities. Transport Infrastructure” within the framework of the Transport Week – an annual business event, held in accordance with the order of the Government of the Russian Federation, which includes a series of nationwide and international activities.

The round table was moderated by the Co-Head of the Working Group at NTI Avtonet, President of NPO GLONASS Alexander Gurko and the Head of Transport Infrastructure Projects at Skolkovo Foundation Kirill Zhanaidarov.

The round table participants discussed a number of issues concerning electric vehicles development: specification of goals and targets at the state level, identification of the role of car manufacturers and infrastructure equipment makers, electrification of public transport with the replacement of a tram by an electric bus, development of carsharing as a possible driver to introduce electric vehicles into the Russian market. Experts agreed that a Roadmap to improve legislation and eliminate administrative barriers will help shape the electric vehicle market.
