2018-05-17 :: A Municipal Strategies Contest Starts on May 25

May 25, 2018 is a start date of the V Municipal Strategies Contest (MSC-2018) to be held within the Annual Strategic Planning Leaders Forum of the Regions and Cities of Russia: Stakeholders of Change (Strategic Planning Leaders Forum). 

On May 16, a kickoff meeting was held in the Committee of Civil Initiatives (Moscow), where the Contest Rules and Regulations were discussed and adopted.

The Leontief Centre-AV Group Consortium was presented by: Director-General of ICSER Leontief Centre Irina Karelina, Director of the Resource Centre for Strategic Planning Boris Zhikharevich, Managing Director of the Leontief Centre-AV Group Consortium Alexey Krylovsky.

The MSC-2018 organizers: Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, ICSER Leontief Centre, Committee of Civil Initiatives and All-Russian Congress of Municipalities. Leontief Centre becomes the MSC-2018 operator.

The contest will be held in several categories, the main one being "The Best Municipal Strategy 2018". Three more categories were established by the contest partners: Committee for Civil Initiatives, Institute for Urban Economics and Institute for Public Finance Reform.

The MSC-2018 onsite semifinals are scheduled for September 25, 2018 in Moscow and will be held in the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation. The finals and MSC-2018 Awards Ceremony will take place in St. Petersburg during the Strategic Planning Leaders Forum on October 22, 2018.
