2017-11-16 :: The City Strategies Contest 2017 Final: Capitals of Federal Subjects Held in Yekaterinburg on November 16

On November 16, the City Strategies Contest 2017 Final: Capitals of Federal Subjects was held in Yekaterinburg. Organizers: All-Russian Congress of Municipalities, Yekaterinburg City Administration and ICSER Leontief Centre. Irina Karelina, Director-General of ICSER Leontief Centre, Member of Organizing Committee at All-Russia Forum "Strategic Planning in the Regions and Cities of Russia", was a jury member.  

Tomsk and Kazan became the City Strategies Contest 2017 Winners. Two other contestants, Volgograd and Perm, awarded diplomas as finalists. The final was held within the All-Russian Strategic Development Forum "Cities of Russia 2030: Crossroads of Opportunities".

The Contest aimed to improve the implementation of the Federal Law No. 172 of June 28, 2014, "On Strategic Planning in the Russian Federation", to share the strategic planning experience at the municipal level, to find out innovations and effective solutions for social and economic issues at the level of the urban district.
