2017-05-19 :: Elena Belova Took Part in the III Annual International Forum of Cross-Border Regions (Pskov)

On May 17-19, the III Annual International Forum of Cross-Border Regions was held in Pskov, attended by Secretary General of ICSER Leontief Centre, Head of Development Department Elena Belova.

Forum organizers: Pskov Region Administration; Pskov Region Investment Development Agency; supported by Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. The Forum was attended by representatives of Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Agency for Strategic Initiatives, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, “Delovaya Rossiya” and others.

The main objective of the Forum is to discuss topical issues of the cross-border regions of the Russian Federation and the neighbouring countries as well as support to their development through cooperation projects in the areas of business, civil society development and interaction of the authorities.

The Forum is an open information and communication platform for all participants in the cross-border cooperation. This platform supports exchanging opinions as well as meeting directors from the ministries of Russia and the neighbouring countries, leaders of local governments and regional authorities, non-profit organisations, financial institutions and businesses.

The programme includes seminars and round tables focused on discussing the most important issues on cross-border cooperation, export development, logistics, tourism, and emergency response. Besides, the Meeting of heads of regional development institutions was held, chaired by Agency for Strategic Initiatives. The main topic: "The practice of implementing project office in cross-border regions: problems and prospects".
