2017-05-22 :: The Secretary General Elena Belova Took Part in a Workshop "Cooperating with Russian Partners-Building on the Past, Looking to the Future" within the Conference of Finnish and Russian Twin Cities

On May 22, Secretary General of ICSER Leontief Centre, Member of Russian National Sub-Committee under INTERREG Baltic Sea Region Programme 2014-2020 Elena Belova took part in a Workshop "Cooperating with Russian Partners-Building on the Past, Looking to the Future" within the 5th Conference of Finnish and Russian Twin Cities (Turku, Finland).

The workshop was dedicated to discuss strategic initiatives and cross-border cooperation projects, according to the lines of Council of the Baltic Sea States, Horizontal Action Neighbours of EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region, Union of Baltic Cities and Baltic Sea Region University Network. The meeting was built on two thematic tracks:

  1. Initiative of Swedish/Finnish partners to build on past positive achievements in cooperation with Russian partners to identify most promising areas of future cooperation and initiatives, to build a common understanding about the goals and practical steps.

  2. Continuation of work to prepare joint Finnish-Russian projects to be presented for funding to the CBC-ENI. Main focus of these projects are development of cooperation in Arctic issues as well as in labour markets, professional skills and qualifications at different levels.
