2017-04-04 :: A.O. Yushkov Made a Report at the Regular Seminar of the Bank of Finland

On April 4, Research Fellow of ICSER Leontief Centre A.O. Yushkov made a report on the theme "Transfer Dependence, Resource Abundance, and Regional Economic Performance: New Evidence from Russia" at the regular seminar of Bank of Finland’s Institute for Economies in Transition. Based on data of Russian regions during 2005-2014, the report shows that dependence from intergovernmental transfers is variously correlated with regional economic growth in the regions rich in natural resources (gas, oil and others), and the regions that don’t draw natural resources and specialize in other economic sectors.
